Thread: LF: Body/Weld Shop

  1. 08-09-2012 09:30 PM #1
I'm restoring my 82 Caddy. It has a small amount of rot behind the rear windshield and bed rails.

Can anyone recommend a good shop or individual in the South Bay area capable of cutting out and replacing the rot at a reasonable price? I'll eventually need some light body work and paint too

    Thanks,

    Dan

Here are some pics of the (known) damage

Unfortunately, most of the time "great work" and "reasonably priced" are mutually exclusive. And doing what you want may not be an easy fix, as there may be some structural integrity compromised because of the rust, which will have to be sured up.

And, unfortunately, I'm way in the North Bay and only have experience in East Bay and Peninsula shops, nothing I know of in the South Bay.

Hit up Sureguy, as he works and lives around that area and may have suggestions.

i know good work doesn't come cheap and it's not what i was trying to say. i don't mind paying for quality work.

can you recommend peninsula or east bay shops? it's not that far. i'll also hit up sureguy.

    thanks again.
