keep in mind that halogen lights age faster when not at full illumination. The lower you go the faster the ageing.

I am sure this has been discussed before...
But for those looking to just DIM the DRL's I found it in Byte 24.
I did have my DRL's turned off, but decided to turn back on for safety reasons.
I dimmed mine to 55%. Has a nice low radiant glow now. Sorta like the euro driving look.
You can find it in vcds:
09 CENT ELEC
Long Coding Helper
Byte 24
Factory had mine originally set at 92%. Just change that value to whatever you wish.

Its ok to run halogens at less than 60% (as long as not 100% of the time -)
Those equations are accurate until the point where the halogen cycle stops happening (approximately 80% of design voltage). Running halogen lamps below 80% won't hurt them as long as you don't do it excessively. When you run the lamp back up to 100%, the cycle begins again, and all of the tungsten on the quartz envelope turns back into tungsten bromide, and collects back on the filament. It's only when you run <80% for the majority of the lamp's life that the tungsten buildup greatly reduces output and lamp life.
