I've been slowly loosing coolant somewhere but so I've been putting distilled water on it till I could get around to it. The car has been sitting for a day or day because the diverter valve broke and I'm waiting on a new one. I went out to the car to get something out of it and just decided to take a look, well the coolant tank wask completely empty and under the car there's a steady drip of water right under the timing belt area, is it time for a new timing belt and water pump?

Most common leak would be the thermostat cover (housing). Check behind the timing belt cover for leaks @ the water pump, then check the thermostat housing @ the block.

I just replaced my water pump and timing belt due to a leaking water pump. Mine leaked any time the car ran. It didn't have to get hot and build pressure first. Once I pulled the water pump out, it looked like the o-ring was the culprit, but I wasn't going to replace just the o-ring on a water pump with 55k miles on it.

I'm just going to get everything replaced (belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioner, etc.) because I bought the car used and I'm about to hit 186,000 and I have no idea when it was done last so it could probably use it.
