RNS 510 no sound and no text!!

Hello,

I have a new 2012 Tiguan Highline with RNS 510. I've been owning the car for 2.5 months.

Today I was driving normally as usual and was able to use the GPS in the morning to go somewhere. After 20 minutes when I was driving back to work, I noticed that the text in the screen had disappeared from the buttons. I literally have blank buttons! In addition, there is no sound what so ever.

When I left work, I thought the unit would reset and work as usual since the car was off for hours but I was wrong. The issue is still there. I tried to reboot it using the 2 arrows and the star button but that didn't help.

There is something might worth mentioning... 2 days ago, I forgot the headlight switch on for the night and the battery went dead, but when I boosted it using my neighbour's car it worked with no issues except for the airbag light which was on but but went away when I turned the car off and back on. The navigation unit was working as usual. I know this might be irrelevant but who knows...

Please help me on this as I have a road trip tomorrow and I really need the radio and the sound of the GPS .

Just in case someone ends up with such an issue (hopefully not ); I went to the dealer today and they decided to replace the navigation system. They placed an order for the unit and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
