Assuming you are using the MDI port, set the level to medium. Sorry, can't recall the menu. This might help. Other than that, the radio has no brains to separate out the voice form the track.

I am hoping this is a simple fix...
I noticed on a few songs that I play from my IPod that the background words becomes very faint. Specifically speaking, when I play the Beatles "All You Need Is Love", the love love love part is almost non existent. I just bought a 2012 SE and I am hoping all need to do is adjust something in the system. Any ideas? Or does something need to be replaced?

A lot of the songs from the 60s, and especially Beatle songs had voices in only one channel and the musical insturments in the other. That was "stereo"!
Might have a problem with your cable that use are using. If you are using the MDI cable that comes from VW, make sure it's plugged securely into the port in the car.
