Hi people, i am new to this and before i get ppl saying there is threads out about this already i wanna say i did research first but found nothing like my problem. ill try to explain as best i can.
Problem: Ok so when i start my car everything is normal, car idles around 600-800 and its steady. here is the thing. If i either just let it sit (engine cold or warmed up) lets say for about 10-15 min the idle slowly rises up to 1000rpm and stays there. Or after driving it for a while. Now here is the wierd part if i just turn the car off then back on the idle goes back to normal. I can do this every time it idles at 1000rpm. i just restart my car and the idle fixes back to normal..
Things i have done to check the car
~ checked vacuum lines: all good no leaks
~ cleaned my MAF sensor
~ ran my car with MAF sensor off (car still goes up to 100rpm after a while)
~(not sure is MAF is just faulty)
~ i do have the right voltage going into the plugs
~ put new collant temp
~ new fan switch ssensor
~ new air filtet
~ cleaned throttle body
i think that is all ive done to the car so far but the problem still stays.
i even unpluged battery (reset ecu) still same thing..
i wiould appreciate any help if anyone has had the same problem and found the solution, or if anyone has any ideas where or what els i can look at?.
i did get a code saying camshaft position sensor something like that.. but can that really effect the car to idle high after a while. Cause the car does not start high idle right away, just after its been on for a while... Thankyou for your help.
