Hello I am new to this forum, And I hope someone here can help me solve this problem or show me in the right direction .

The issue:
97 Vw Pic-up 2,5L gasolin EAT engine with a 4 speed auto trans 01P
I got a dried up and blown o-ring to the oil cooler, got rid of the oil and lost traction at speed.
Did towing the car approximately 1.5 mil.
Gear shift in Neutral.
Max 50 km/h
Max 50 euro mil (I took it 1.5-2 mil)

This because If the engine is not running, no lubrication of gearcase.
And never backwards this because it gets the the planetgear to spin too fast and damage the trans.
(I hade the engine running, this becuse i whanted the servo steering and brake and some warm air too.)

After new oil and replacing the o-rings, I have no drive at all, regardless of gear position.? The day after I Zero the TCU computer, that had two error codes 00 264 and 00 652 with vag-OBD, and after that I received only 00 264 error code on the valve nr:4 N91 TCC. (that I had before, when everything happened ).
Then Suddenly the gears get in and everything seemed to work also tok it for a drive . But the next time I started the car and for a new test drive, Then again I hade no drive at all?
No new error codes except 00264 remains. Small tendency to reverse operation . So now I do not quite know how to deal with the problem?
Clogged filters?
Valve package that jam? or a gaskets and other o-rings that mabye,are also dry and leaking? (low pressure) ?
Friction plate completely over? (seems unlikely since I suddenly had drive).
Gearcase has 14000 euro mil.

disassembly only the valve body ?
or the the whole gearcase?
Buy a Overhaul kit for an overhaul?
a Used Gercase?
or get a new replacement one? .

The converter should not be empty.
I put in about 1.5 l in the pan through the filler pipe, I couldn't get more in before i started the engine. Then the pump start to take oil so i could get more in to the pan . It took tot 3 l atf-oil through filler pipe, The engine running and shift through all selector lever positions more then one's. And then leveled it thrugh the overflow tube to the right level.(~0.5L dripped out, Engine still running.)
The total amount of oil on this gearbox is about 5,3 l oil and when you change the oil and fillter take it about 3 to 3,5 l .
So the converter should not be empty.

I have start the engine more times and shift through all selector levels positions but still the same results . when trying to bleed air from the system if present ?

I have now checked the oil level again.
And it's ok.
I think it's strange because at the first oil filler and startup, I had no drive? after the second startup, I had suddenly drive and was able to drive the car. Next time I started the car I had no drive again. Now I've checked oil level again to make sure that this was ok but still no drive?
What to do now? Hmmmm...
