    How do you install a cold start cable on a mk2 vw into dash? or removal (obv just follow the steps in reverse)

    unscrew the metal collar holding the plastic block in place, i used a micrometer to insert in both notches. Also unclip the handle pushing on the pin.

    If you've removed the metal collar and the pin, then you need to spin the handle off and pull the cable out of the dash.

    Thread it out through the firewall, and then it is a small clip on the pump bracket and a small flat head screw on the backside of the injection pump.

    Your gonna have fun getting the new cable in to the back of the pump.. lol I actually hate it so much that if I ever had to remove my cold start cable for any reason.. I'd pull the pump lol!
