On 6/15/2011 I had a cooling issue and went ahead and replaced a butt load of items due to negligence of POs. I haven't had a lick of trouble cooling wise until today.

Now the issue, the car overheats at idle. I jumped the rad temp switch plug, the top left pin and bottom pin do not turn on the low speed fan. The top left and top right pin does turn on the high speed fan.

If I leave the car idling, the fan comes on for 5-7 seconds and shuts back off. From what I understand, this is a bad resistor inside the fan itself (fuse 19 and the 30a fuse in the FCM check out okay).

Is there anything else this can be? I am skeptical that I have a faulty fan since it is 14 months old from mjmautohaus.com.

Cooling related items listed below for reference.

    samco silicone hose set
    heater core
    oil cooler and seals
    crack pipe
    low temp t-stat and seal
    low temp radiator coolant sensor
t-stat housing and flange and seals
    main fan and belt
    Coolant expansion Bubble and cap
    Fan control module
    Oil dipstick funnel seal

    Your help is appreciated,

    The Rat
