Well I had a spare hood for my b5.5 and thought I would give the boser hood a try since there is no extensions made for them.
First I looked at other pics of boser (which was like a few of the same car) and found out where I wanted it to drop down to the grill.
Took three different cardboard pieces (one for the middle and two for the spot over the headlights) pretty much based the angles off the middle, which is a hair bite over the top chrome strip. Ended up cutting the sheet of metal I had to the pieces of cardboard I had measured out.
Then sanded down the hood and started to tack weld the pieces together.
After I actually got it the right area I started to weld it completely, which was one of the biggest pain.
The it was like 2 hours of grinding those welds down, then it was putting filler on it and then hand sanding that just perfect when it was ready. About 5 hours later I was able to paint. After all that was done I was pretty happy with the out comeAlso did a front license plate delete and made a bracket on the passager side where I can remove the license plate at shows. Heres two poorly taken pics lol
This one looks like the passanger side is different but its because the headlight bracket is broken so it hangs down a little and has a gap between headlight and fender
And side pic to see how it hangs over
