So, i'm just looking for tips here so any advice will help. By next weekend ill be ripping out my 3 12" subs in a sealed box, all my component speakers, and 2 amps out of my truck, oh and cant forget the headunit either. My first concern is the box.. According to my measurements my box will JUST fit in the trunk.. Probably have to flex the panels in the trunk a bit to get it to fit. I'm considering building a new box anyway since its had its share of abuse. I also noticed the factory monsoon amp in the driver side rear of the car behind the removable panel. I suppose ill be ripping that out since i wont be needing it, along with the monsoon deck. Makes me wish i had a double din unit to install in it , but i can make something fancy out of the dash kit. My 2nd concern is my wire run. I have NO idea what i'm going to run into when it comes to running wires basically throughout the entire car.. I want to run my 4ga power wires through the driver side firewall, but i will choose the passenger side if there's a factory hole thats plugged. So im going to stop here, getting a bit to long.. So any tips or a heads up for things i mite run into with this install is much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

    Things ill be installing
    -Power wires into the trunk
    -Pioneer deck (mvh-p8200bt)
-2 amps in the trunk (not sure where yet i want a clean look) Infinity 1211a/Infinity Kappa4
-6.5's in doors and back seats (Infinity Kappa component sets along with xover's)
    -2 tweeters ^^
    -3 12" Subs (Infinity Kappa Perfect 12DVQ)

Just keep in mind that those tweeters in the Kappas are BIG. Modification will definitely be needed.

    What are you goals?
What about the Infinity product do you like (I currently have Kappa 60.9CS in the front and 63.1i in the rear)?

Very true about the tweeters, the doors in my truck are basically ruined now that i'm taking them out. If i cannot get them to fit behind the stock grill, ill use the JL tweeters i have. As far as what i like about Infinity.. I've had my 1211a amp and almost all 3 of the Kappa Perfect DVQ woofers for about 4 years, and everything is fine (with the exception of changing a capacitor in the amp) to this day. I am not easy on any of my equipment. I pushed my stereo every day to "my" max volume and my max volume is not low at all.. After the abuse I've put through my equipment, just the fact that its still as good as new was enough to make me a long lasting Infinity Customer. I didnt get Infinity Components/4channel until last year and i simply bought them because if they were anything like the subs/bass amp, i knew id be fine. They components have a great crisp sound along with awesome imaging, the tweeters CAN be harsh if your not careful but installed correctly they are great. The 4 channel is GREAT on power and hardly gets warm even after 40 minutes of almost clipping the entire time. The 1211a is a complete POWERHOUSE, its heavy/hot/uses lots and lots of power, but its worth every penny i spent on it!

    - My goal is to install every component i have in my truck rite now, into my GTI. I KNOW 3 12's is over kill in a GTI but i had those same 3 12's and amp in my 300zx and i LOVED it. Ive been a basshead for years now but along with my "maturing" im a fan of LOUD, CLEAN highs which i've accomplished but now ive got to do this in my GTI and it must be flawless.

The tweeters can be fit, but it depends on how much time u want to spend on fitting them and where you want to put them.

My Kappas have been great. Adjust the EQ to compensate for the brighter tweeter and you're golden.

I want to put them in the stock tweeter location on the doors up front. With some work it looks like i can get them in there. Anyone have a suggestion for Amp locations?

Depends on how crazy u wanna be. u can do back of the seats, or you can mount them on the sides of the trunk if you make something to mount it.

I was thinking behind the back seats but i don't want to cut into the carpeting on the back of the seats. I was also thinking the sides of the trunk would be good, it looked like there was alot of room for wires behind the panels but i haven't even looked as far as how i would get 6 RCA's/1 4awg power wire/10 speaker wires from behind the trunk panels to the front of the car without a trace. I want to follow factory looms if there's room which i think there should be. Ive still got alot of planning to do obviously haha. Keep em comin no complaints from me so far!
