Thread: need help

    So my cel came on tonight didnt have the chance to get it read yet...its doin the same thing when my coil packs went bad...i jus changed the coil pack spark plugs and fuel pump no less than a 3months ago. I have an mkv gti. Is it commonfor them to go bad that fast....or do i would i have other problems...i will be getting the code checked tomorrow to find out exactly whats wrong

    I jus fot the code pulled.. I have a misfire in cylinder 3 again...this jus happened to me 3 months ago ...
    id rather push my VW than drive a Honda

    I guess the easy answer is pull the coil packs for 3&4 and switch them around. If the misfire moves to cylinder 4 you know coil pack fried. If it stays in cylinder 3 pull the plug and check the gap again and look for fouling. Wile you have the plug out check the compression. If all that turns out ok then start checking the injector. Maybe its fouled or clogged. In any case good luck with it.

    Did you only replace 1 of the coil packs 3 months ago or did you do all 4?

    I did all 4 and all 4 sparks plugs...its fixed now. I had a bad spark plug. Any reason it wod go bad so fast
