    Torque converter module?

    Looking at a passat 16v havent seen it yet though. The guy selling it says it needs a "torque converter module" said you can drive it but it has to be in neutral when you stop in traffic and turn it on. He said it under the back seat. I know nothing about automatic vws or auto trans in general really never owned one in my life. any help is appreciated.

    I'm not in europe I'm in usa. buying gas passat wagon and putting ecodiesel motor and asf 020 in it.

    too much work for the tranny instalation ; in my opinion. it has been debated here before.
    also the td swap is it stock? the passat weight about 3400 lbs in sedan version. will a stock td move it? ...

    I got a guy who is gonna help me do it he has done it on a few cars knows all the tricks. He said its a tad slow off the line but he hauls 1000+ lbs of gear and humans and cruises at 80mph no problem. Im no speed demon i just wanna haul stuff for road trips and have a vehicle i can fold the seats down and sleep in.
