      big thanks to Cory Sterling.

for the first year of a 2 day show Cory, you nailed it man. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to get my business name out there. This takes a lot of work/thought into getting something like this put together let alone for 2 days, not sure if it was said or not, the man plans this on his birthday. Saturday was extremely laid back, not a lot of foot traffic but i think everyone planned for that. This show has a lot of potential for being another weekend VAG event. The vendor area was a little hectic as far as setup went but where else are you going to get a vendor booth for $250 for a 2 days, and see the foot traffic we did on sunday.

Before the bitching about judging, not being judged, not being judged fairly, something unorganized, food, bands, auction something not going you're way.....save it, and take a second to think about how much time has to go into things like this.

Thanks again Cory, and hope you enjoyed you're birthday, you old ****.

great show and awesome weekend all together

the only thing that could have been different was the the MK6 golf R class or lack there of. when i registered they ended up putting the Golf R's with MK5 R32's. dont know why but it is what it is.

i took the entire family and we all had a great time. see ya next year for sure

Great Show Cory! I have been going to vw shows all over the usa this summer, and this was the best weather yet. Thanks to all the TDI guys that stopped by - we gotta get a bigger TDI showing. Arno's white mk4 Golf TDI (NGP booth) was awesome too! Very relaxed atmosphere, and easy access for customers. Must be nuts to organize, this show - keep up the good work!
      Many Thanks,

But if we paid to be judged we should have..? Can't say if me or my girlfriend were judged considering there wasn't orange dots on our windshields but all the cars around us had one..don't get me wrong it was a great show but I woulda saved the 10 bucks and parked outside unless for some odd reason we just didn't get stickers

There was a little bit of confusion here. Our group noticed all of the cars around us had stickers, but three in our group of friends did not. Did some investigating, and talked to Amber (one of the girls in charge, really nice to talk to). She explained that most of the "newer" judges were using the dot stickers, but those with a lot of judging experience (like her) didn't need them to keep things straight. Two out of the three of us that didn't have stickers placed in our classes. I wasn't babysitting my car all day, but there was always people under our tent. I didn't get to talk to any judges, and no one from my group said people with clipboards came by to stop at it, but my car was obviously judged (discreetly I suppose). My only critique is that they should either use stickers for all of the cars, or not use them and let owners know that the judges are coming for X, Y, Z, etc. classes (probably easier to just use stickers for everyone, takes all the guess work out of it). A big to Cory and his staff for another great year for VAGfair.

I agree with using stickers on every car..I have no idea if my car was judged or not since I was also not with my car all day..it was kinda odd that the 20th right behind my girlfriends 20th had a sticker but hers did not.

I agree with your concern 100%. It sends a mixed message to use them on some, but not others, but Amber was a straight shooter, and didn't blow our question off when we naively asked. I parked bumper to bumper with a MK4 Jetta, and then there was one with a Golf front end directly across from me in the next row over. Both of them had stickers, and I didn't. That's why I thought it was a good idea to go over and ask "what was up?"

I bet you're that short, tattoo'd **** that everyone was telling me about...If so you skipped my car and at least 3 others...but it's ok because I placed first in my class via a top dog judge, odd's are I wouldn't have placed at all from you because I don't have bags.

      If you're not him...apologies

Other than my class's lazy judge I had no issues with the show!

I did not skip any cars, I only skipped a car if I could not find it accordingly, I didn't skip a car because I didn't like it, it was because I couldn't find it. Bags or not, I don't really care, its all about how your wheels fit with your suspension.

The judges were judging categories not the rows so if you saw 1 judge skip your car doesn't mean you got skipped it means that judge wasn't doing your class

seems like shows now are lose lose situations, you have people saying they weren't judged, then you have people complaining about judging not being fair.

that is exactly how it is laid out, plus there were about 5 different mk4 classes, Im sure some people saw me judging 1 mk4 then skipping over their car which was another mk4, if I looked at your car and walked away it was because you weren't in my class.

Ok let me clear some things up.....

The judging was more then fair. Look at the who won thread and tell me if any of those cars did not deserve to win??????!!!!

We ran out of stickers and we decided to not run to the store and hold up judging for the sake of getting awards out in a timely manner.

Next year I'm just going to go around judging people lolol Jking.

with this show growing every year its hard to gauge how many show cars are going to be there and when we buy supplies we buy as much as we can get. i bout 60 clip board this year and 1200 orange dots if that puts things into perspective. Do you realize that 1200 orange dots were given out???? That means the show is as big as H20 attendance show car wise. Does this mean I need to limit the number of show cars...Hell no. i want to see every car. I also did see every car. I rode around and walked the feild many times. I give out the "Best of" awards. Anyways stop complaining about my car wasn't judged I have a bunch of trophy's left over if you want one. I assure you the cars were judged and if there was a problem it was handled quickly. if you don't speak up to the staff we can't fix it. If you think your car wasn't judged come get me and I will personally walk out to your car and judge it. Remember I know for sure what I am looking at so that may or may not be in your favor.

I can put money on it that the people complaining couldn't tell me who had a chevy 350 in a car and how many v8 swapped audi or ccw smooties on their car...or who had a sweet deisel set up in a car you would have never thought had.... Or who had a right had drive jetta wagon. Trust me Im aware of everything around me.

Best weekend I have had in a while. Last year was my first time going to VAG Fair and I will continue to come. This thread looks like it was made to tell Cory that he was responsible for a great event, not judging.

I will second, or third...or whatever number I am, this by saying thanks for the best show event that I have been to this year. Next year I will skip the riff raff and just focus on VAG Fair.

The Golf R being in the MkV R32 class would be my only complaint...but I'm sure this'll be taken care of.

I will second, or third...or whatever number I am, this by saying thanks for the best show event that I have been to this year. Next year I will skip the riff raff and just focus on VAG Fair.

The Golf R being in the MkV R32 class would be my only complaint...but I'm sure this'll be taken care of.
Thank you. We are working on changing some of the classes for the up coming year and will have all this straightened out.

Sorry you must have her confused with someone who likes chubby guys....he's gay too right? that would explain why he's been single for so long?

Am I the only person that doesn't go to shows for trophy's or plaques? I could have sworn we all got together for the hell of it, hang out with old/new friends, drink a couple beers and have a good time.

Cory, great show as always, I wasn't able to make it Saturday but Sunday was better then it ever has been and I'm sure next year will be even better. Hats off to you and your crew. Thanks to you putting in the time and effort to put this together, I got to see friends I haven't seen or hung out with in years!

You know I saw some of the other things This clown posted via IG, and figured him for some random tool. Now that I saw the sig I remember him from his other retarded posts.

Show was awesome IMO. Nothing like a chill, laid back event to make for a good weekend.

This is exactly what it's about

The show felt a lot like H2O or WF from about 5 years ago. Super laid back, great cars, no real troublemakers, and just a great weekend overall
