Was supposed to be hiring someone to work under me, per Director's request. Interviewed 5-6 people, and was prepared to make one guy an offer. At the last minute, the business unit VP stepped in and said "You don't need more help".

Anyway, got a LinkedIn request from the guy I was going to offer the job to the other day: he got a job with Tesla Motorcars and moved to San Francisco to help design the next model. I am jealous.
