ok so as of yesterday i am officially a VW owner. i picked up an 06 GLI off craigslist for a decent price, needs some work but i think it was a good deal. I have a couple problems that i cant seem to figure out. keep in mind i havent taken it to a mechanic yet, but trying to trouble shoot some crap beforehand.

1st problem: traction control light is always on. I am guessing it is always off because it drives fine, no loss of power. any idea of why this could be?

2nd problem: airbag light is on. i called up VOA to see if i could get my sagging headliner convered under the good will warrentee (no such luck) and they informed me i have two recalled parts on the car that have not been replaced. one was the coil overs and the other has something to do with the driver side airbag wiring. do you think this could have something to do with the light being on?


Other than those two things and some body work that needs to be done, the car is running great. Im hoping I can get a few things figured out myself before i get it on the road and have to drop a couple bucks to get it in tip top condition.
