Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has some familiarity with the RNS-315 navigation system. My iPhone suddenly stopped detecting my nav system when I plug it into the MMI cable. It takes a charge from the cable but isn't able to send data to the GPS so I can control my iPhone from the screen. I tried with my old iPod and a friend's iPhone and it works seamlessly. I took my iPhone to the apple store and the tech said that it could be a firmware issue with my phone (which is out of warranty). I find this hard to believe because the phone worked with my car last week without any software updates.

SO, my question is, are there firmware updates through Volkswagen that could potentially resolve any issues I may have with the car?
