Thread: ash counter

    i have a 09 golf with the dpf removed but i need to reset the ash counter, but i need the block number, can anyone help please.

    If the DPF was truly/properly removed you wouldn't need that... Though, DPF removal is very likely illegal no matter where you are so please don't expect any help from us.

    The ash counter reset needed also to replace a new DPF.
    You can do a force regeneration, to reset it, but there is a direct command to ECU to reset the ash counter to avoid regenerating the new DPF.
    I use VAG COM VCDS.
    If any one can help, I need to know how to do it on a CR engine.

    Counter for particulate filter pile up, to commence with Regen when reached to self clean.
