Show me your setup. Right now I have them sitting on the garage floor.

I do not have tires to store but I have seen set ups like this a friends house.

I found this picture which are very similar to his set-up.

I have a similar set up that is constructed of unistrut and rigid conduit, and also holds 12 tires. I will get some pics later if anyone is interested.

One set fits nicely under the stairs into the house. The other set is stacked next to them.

A 24" square plywood on 1x3 platform with castors works for me.

a long ways back i built a workbench with tire storage underneath... based on one of the benches that someone in here built.

funny thing is that i have never taken a single picture of it.

at this point though i have WAY, way too many wheels and tires to fit in the rack, so the majority are bagged up with cardboard between each wheel.

    edit:
haha... google search has gotten better at vortex posts...

this is basically what i built. a few mods based on the wood i had sitting around, and making adjustments for tire heights... but very nearly the same.

I need to follow this... "Not everything you eat has to, or should, taste really f*cking awesome. Sometimes you need to eat 'boring' food to stay healthy.

I have a sweet stack of 8 tires right in between both garage doors

It actually works well since you typically can't put much in between the 2 doors.

Built one of these, but wish I had thought of using that metal rod (closet hanging rod?) like this guy did. I just used another 2x4 there, and military pressing the ~60lb wheel/tire combo over the lip created by the edge of the 2x4 is a pain in the butt. Yes, I need to get back to the gym.

I have two sets of winter wheels all stacked up on a $5 mover's dolly that I picked up at Harbor Freight, similar to this one:

It works great, and can be moved easily.

I do the ame thing. Makes moving them around very easy, since I don't really have a place to store them outa the way.
