The link to the fuse info DOES NOT apply to the GLI.

yes, the fuse panels are the same but fuse values are not. Example: Fuse 22 should be either 20 or 7.5A according to your PDF, mine is 15A.
Also, according to your roadmap, there are no fuses in ANY of the locations designated for lighting (headlights, DRLs, foglights, etc)

The only fuse that doesnt match 100% is 22 which could be because of a running change or because your vehicle is configured slightly differently its only 5A no big deal.
The reason the lights arent on yours is because the GLI controld the lights through the CCM which you would know if you knew anything about your car. Please dont argue with me. Thanks.

Ok... deep breath At no point in this thread have I been condescending towards you. This is a forum, where people come to find/share information and LEARN. I was stating that your diagram did not match what I have in my car and noted a discrepancy.
as I've only owned this car since May, will please explain to me what the CCM is exactly. I am VERY familiar with cars, but this is my first VW.

Sure no problem. The CCM is the module under the dash on the drivers side behind the fuse box. It controls the electrical and comfort features in the car. In the GLI the CCM is a highline module which in basic terms is like a digital clock where as the lowline CCM can be seen as a non-digital clock. The digital clock has the functions all controlled by the computer chip where as the analog clock used other separate "modules" or gears and stuff to do the same function. In terms of the CCM this means that the number of fuses and relays needed is less for the highline than the lowline. In this sense the Non-GLI is able to do many of the "highline" functions that the GLI can do, there is just more things than need to be done for them to work. Example: Rain Light Sensor, Traction Control, Puddle Lights, and more.
Sometimes in these cars the fuse rating is less than that specified in the documented material because of a running change where they realized it did not need to be so high or that it needed to be bigger. Example the MY11 cars needed to have the fuse for the horn separated from the ECU because it was found that it was possible to blow and cause the car to become unstable while driving. Another possibility is that the fuse can accept many modules under it but maybe your car only has a few of them. In this case the fuse value may be less because it doesnt need to be that high for only half of what it was intended for.
Only trying to pass along the correct answers and not confuse new users or others who are easily confused, thats all. No hard feelings.![]()

Thanks!! I've been searching for a fuse panel layout for a while, this is great. Boggles my mind VW didn't include one with the owners manual![]()
