What happened to being over 18 and being considered an adult that can make their own decisions and be responsible for their own actions? It didn't happen on school property, but in her home, between consenting adults. Is she a dumb broad? Absolutely. Did she commit a crime? Nope. Certainly not one that could carry a 20 year prison sentence.

And here's and interesting thought on a legal double-standard. Kids under 18 can be treated (and charged) as adults, for committing certain crimes. Their juvenile status does not protect them. So, if they're considered old enough to be treated like adults, even though they are <18, why is it automatically statutory rape if someone over 18 has sex w/ someone under 18? I'm not talking about cases where Romeo & Juliet laws apply.

I agree with all of this.

The kids knew what they were doing. Nothing illegal was done here in my eyes. 18 year old consenting adults are exactly that.
