This is a half ass R-line. Real R-line comes with different front/rear bumpers, grille. This is nothing but some cosmetics that can be easily added. I am not a fan of black roof lining nor do I really care for a flat bottom steering wheel, IHMO.

Who knew?
Black headliner and GTI steering wheel! Looks like RVC is back on the menu too after 2012 hiatus.
Not sure I dig the running boards.
Had I known, I would have waited a few months
Also, this means that there will be Rline parts on the north american ETKA.

My guess is that the NA bumpers/grille are crash tested and approved for NA only, so they stuck with them for cost reasons.
I dig the black headliner and the painted side molding.
The R-line only comprises cosmetic changes anyhow... nothing new.
At least the pedal part #s will be readily available!

I wonder how much it will cost to order that steering wheel.

the running boards are not part of the R-Line package... it's an accessory!
R-Lines gives:
Painted side molding
door sills
R emblem at a few spot
that steering wheel
19'' malory wheels
trunk spoiler
black headlier
afs bi-xenon lights and del
sport pedals
sport suspension
widened wheel arch

I still think its pretty cool, and happy to see VW at least try to bring over the R-line for the tiguan

Looks like nothing by window dressing.
Now, if they would have dropped the 3.6L engine in it or the 3.0L TDI, then I'd get excited.

From my un-trained eye, it look like the USA SEL w/DA except for the badge, wheel, paddles, and shift knob.
