Suspension question

I have a 2009 B8 A4 and I would really like to be able to lower it just the 20mm that the audi sport suspension drops it.

From what I have read, if I only change the springs, it will wear the shocks abnormally fast and I will eventually have issues.

Are there many people that bought an audi with sport suspension and then decided to upgrade it to race spec or to lower it with aftermarket springs and dampeners. Would any of those folks be willing to sell their factory parts that they took off?

I have a feeling that I am pissing in the wind but I wanted to see if there is a cheaper way of lowering the car about 3/4 of an inch without buying $1,500 worth of stuff.

Did you try eBay and craigslist?
I'm sure someone still had their stock sport suspension.
