I had Koni coilovers on my Turbo S bug, and I was disappointed with them because I couldn't go lower than what sport suspension would have gotten me. I have friends on springs that were lower than my car was on those coilovers.
I also had Airlift air suspension on that same bug and loved it, so I am not against air, just thinking about going a different route.
My original plan before I even bought the Beetle was to bag it. However I am having a change of heart with all the Beetle dilemma between wiring issues, windows, the fact that's it's a lease, etc. I am looking to find out what kind of coilovers are out there that people recommend for height foremost, but still handles well. I am not looking for super cheap coilovers, so price won't weigh too much of my decision. Looking for something with adjustable dampening, but will still give me enough threads to be at my desired height with 18's. I have a Beetle turbo with independent rear suspension, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Just looking for anyone's input...even on the MKVI side of things.
I'm female. I like cars,, and randomness. I have a 2012 Bagged Turbo Beetle that likes to hang out at home. My daily is a '86 BMW E30.
