Thread: When I turn on my Light Switch Knob; the brake lights stop working then i get EPC LIght???

I have done some research on the boards and some people would say my brake light switch needs to be replaced. However there was a recall in 2010 and the dealer already changed my brake light switch . Basically what happens is at night but i get into my car and turn my light switch knob on, a few mins later my EPC light will come on. If i turn off my light switch knob the brake lights will work fine but when i turn the knob on, the brake lights won't work at all. Do i have a short in my system.

Could be another bad brake light switch, honestly.

Yeah I should change it anyway. The part is very cheap and could be installed wrong. I was even thinking about checking the bulbs since I just bought the car 1 month ago.maybe the bulb size is wrong?.?
