TTT. These are the two codes I want to figure out right now. I know the reason for the 2nd fault, and probably the first fault as well.

    5 Faults Found:
01336 - Data Bus for Comfort System
    49-00 - No Communications
01336 - Data Bus for Comfort System
    80-10 - Single-Wire Operation - Intermittent
01330 - Central Control Module for Central Convenience (J393)
    49-10 - No Communications - Intermittent
    01304 - Radio
    49-10 - No Communications - Intermittent
01331 - Door Control Module; Driver Side (J386)

Specifically, is this probably a wiring issue? Or could it be a bad CCM or a blown relay?

Anybody? This is my first time using a legit RossTech Vagcom. Just a little bit of help would be awesome.
I'm mechanically inclined, but if I could get some direction here that'd be awesome. Thanks!

    First off

You should concern yourself with the DTC in the engine for the cam timing.

It is possible you have an oil PSI problem ( sludge ) or leaky gasket etc.
    CAM timing set incorrect.

    The CCM

You should check for water damage and yes each controller for a maybe harness issue in the doors, since they are most likely to fail.

Alright, thank you. Yea, I think it's a timing issue. I'm not currently driving it, she's been sitting there for a month or so. I noticed the other day the timing might be a tooth off, but I haven't taken a closer look yet.
I don't think it's a sludge issue.. I recently replaced the head gasket, cam tensioner gasket, vc gasket, oil pan (with a hybrid), and the oil sump elbow/screen (all less than 1k miles ago) . There was 0 sludge/residue in the oil system anywhere.

I have replaced just about every gasket on the engine within the past 10k miles. lol

As for the ccm, you sound like you're pretty confident it's a wiring issue not a faulty ccm issue. I did pull the ccm out the other day. There was 0 visible water damage to the CCM circuit board or plastic case.
I noticed some odd wiring for one of the plugs. I think that could be the culprit. The last owner was a dumb@ss punk.

I'll update this thread with what I find later this weekend, thanks bud.

I didn't have those 17 fault codes before I connected the CCM. Now I have them. Common factor is the CCM right?
I checked all the wiring and grounds regarding the ccm. As well as the harnesses for the door locks and window regulators. Everything is good to go. The only remaining factor... is the CCM.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like I need a new comfort cont mod.

Edit: oh and I checked every single fuse, by actually removing and inspecting each one. Even the two 15a fuses above the relay panel/ccm. All are 100% not-blown.

Have you got the wiring diagrams for the ccm? If you need them pm me your email address and I'll fire them over. I've got the ones for the 2001 model with that ccm.

Just use those diagrams and fix the obvious first then see where you're at. If the wiring all checks out then it has to be the ccm
