Just wondering what differences there are between the cars, i know the engine is the same but does that mean I can just search mk6 gti parts or have to be gli specific. For example an intake? Thanks! Just picked up my GLI and its been nothing but good so far!

Same downpipe, same intake, suspension parts will work, but they should be spec'd for your particular model...

Suspension is one place where you don't want to swap between the two. Even if it fits weight distribution and total weight is different.

Software is also different. 2012 GLI and 2011 CC seem to be the same, or at least have the same problems with APR software if you go past stage II.
