    Mk4 GTI lowering/drive axle

    I know this has been talked about over and over again (i've read them before i got my coils) about how the drive axle and sway bar will rub if you go to low. Now im about ~13.3" from fender to hub but i get slight rubbing on the drive axle enough that you can see it and kind of feel it. Should i be worried about the drive axle ever snapping?

    Or if someone can tell me if the axle is solid or hollow that would be a great amount of help too, I already tried the search and it wasnt being a good friend to me today.
