I've seen some pictures floating around here before and it seems like I am having trouble locating them, been kinda thinking of swapping out the square head lights for some old school round ones, I've always preferred the round head lights over the square ones, I know echassin is in the process of doing that, but if anyone has pictures or any tips and info on doing the swap I would appreciate it

IIRC IROCZgirl (sp?) has a silver S2 with rounds, a Zender grille, and an eyebrow that looks great.

The way I'm doing it, recessing the lights up under the hood lip, will have the flavor of a Dodge Challenger without an add-on brow, but will require a custom grille.

I was starting to feel bad because i was one of the '18 views w/ no reply...'

btw, and I'm surprised I haven't said this in a long time, but...

i love how yours is turning out echassin, i like the idea of sinking them back in and tucking them up under the hood like that

Tberk i did look through Google and found some pictures, but i know a lot of people on the vortex has a file just for cool scirocco pictures

I've seen the ones with the 2 head lights, and wasn't very fond of them, but I am more into the 4 head lights, they just seem better in its own way, and making a grille for it wont be that hard for me, but of coarse it will take time to source the parts out and then take the time to do it, but it will be worth it though

plus i was wondering if a can use the headlights off any another MK1, just because they are a little bit easier to run across around here

Gotta put the time in. MK1 buckets plus lights is easier, if you want the E30 lights it's work either way you go - MK1 buckets or E30 buckets as a base.

No harm in asking, but I'm not the one you should be watching out for...

btw- at least one guy (whats his screen name?...) has used 'other than VW' rounds to great effect. I'm having pre-'old timers' I can't recall dude's name.
damn. (He's got a black 16v and has driven it to Cincy. but damn...)

[edit] I swear, when I posted this @ 9:17pm, I had absolutly No Idea Tobias had posted right before me.

cool thanks 16V, I will just have to keep an eye out for some, yeah I've been working at this project for over a year now, but finally every thing is coming together, motor almost done, interior starting to come together, body is almost ready for paint, but it's still going to be some time before I finish, kinda hard to rebuild a car on a temp salary

Hmmm, e30 buckets you say? Well I got a set of those. Now to find a second set...
The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.
