    60 yo male. VW was one of my first cars. Bought one of the first Sciroccos available in NJ in the 70s. Have owned a lot of cars since, with Porsche being my favorite. Came back to VW after selling my Cayman S for an 04 R32 with a lot of great mods. Then bought the R recently when I realized it was more of what I wanted than anything else on the market for the money. With a few mods, these cars hold their own with anything out there. I drove a new M3 before buying this, but honestly, now that I have the HPA tune and DP, I can't say that the M3 was significantly more fun to drive...or nicer. Especially when you consider the fact that it cost twice as much!
    Current - 2012 Golf R, 4 door. SR, NAV, loaded. Deep Black Metallic. HPA Stage 1 Tune, HPA Downpipe w/ cat, HPA Core Interlock Lower Motor mount-75 Red.

    21 male about to be 22 never dreamed of owning an R at this age and its been a really great summer love the car would not pick this car over any other car best car in the world for me

    Nice to see there are other RNs on here who've bought an R. One of the older doc's at my hospital has a loaded blue 4 door like mine but bone stock. He an I pass each other a few mornings a week as I leave and he comes in...

    Well that's based on what was posted and what we know. I'm still in top 3 i guess. Cool haha

    I must admit I'm kind of surprised though. I thought there would be more in this range.
    But let me say that I'm paying on my own for everything before the older guys start the spoiled this and that talk
