Will you do all the the tweaking through Uni-Setting v.1.4?

Same to you bub. As far as I understand, UNI is aware of the unique setup and I will be getting actual files from them, mainly because they know that the IE intake manifold and cams are going to be (already are) extremely popular, so they want to have tunes set for them. But then yes, final tweaks, if needed should be accomplished via unisettings and VAGcom

Awesome. I reset my idle and monitored a few things during break-in via VAG-COM/VCDS. But have not yet linked up to Uni-Setting to see what can be adjusted. That will have to wait until after this weekend. If you need VAG-COM/VCDS at all this weekend, just let me know.

Good deal man Maybe stop by the 45th condo this weekend and share a drink. I got the oil changed this morning, looked extremely clean (had 713 miles on it). Got some new stuff in, did some 3/4 throttle runs in 2nd/3rd/4th gear, only going to 5000 rpms. This turbo makes 4-5 psi from 3g, then about 3500ish it starts climbing (but only to 7 right now). I imagine my full boost should be coming right around 4000... So that'll make for a 4500 rpm powerband, I'll take that, 2.0l of displacement feels nice off boost, I am runnin 9.5:1 comp.

Even at 7psi this thing pulls like a train. Seriously. I hope I get ok'd to take this thing higher this weekend, I wouldn't mind being able to go to redline in the middle three gears, even if only once.

Thanks Jess, yes, I feel the same too, wish could hang more. The more I think about it, the more this car needs to be 100% by SoWo '13... If ya know what I'm saying...

Thanks man, it does so far, and this only maybe 50% complete... stay tuned in this thread...

Cool man, check ya around somewhere. I guess with the convention center lot being off limits this year, I'll have to stay sober-ish saturday night for a little while and bring it to the inlet lot...

    More pics from today

42DD fits sooooo nice, sounds fantastic too...

I want to bury that boost gauge.... 30psi on this setup has to be badass.... (also notice, no CEL)

We'll see if my car will be the one at the show next year. The mk1 was missed this year...

I'll want a ride in this beast though

I'm sorry but i just can get over those wheels. Makes me sad (chrome fat 5's just say "immature" IMO)

Sorry for the hate, I love the rest of the build though, its just stunning

They are neither chrome nor fat fives. Unless I grabbed some one off set of 18x8.5/9.5 concave fat fives from a Mercedes S600??

I guess your right, the way that picture was taken made it look like chrome at first glance.

I would like to know what makes these not fat fives? (I'm curious)

Not sure if serious or trolling

Also I apologize if you already addressed it but I did not see it on my first pass through, what fmic is that and how much trimming was required behind the bumper? The fitment looks perfectly tucked behind the bumper and no obtrusive piping... very well done

PS love this build and hope to see it this weekend

Really? I don't know what to tell you man, other than that Fat 5's are 17x7.5, 5x100, came on Audi TT's (there are a rare 18" version too), are not concave, the spokes aren't sharply angled close to the tire, and my wheel specs have already been stated?? I don't know what else you're looking for Tthese are fat fives (on my old car too...), and they're not chrome either.

Actually you're right, it was never actually mentioned, technically. It's Pagparts kit, and it fits just like the turbo kit, flawlessly. If you need a FMIC kit you can call him up and he'll make you one, even if you dont have his turbo kit

They did have to trim behind the bumper a tad bit, but nothing major.

Ha haha ya i'm not trolling (just stupid I guess ).

I just thought any rim that was a 5 spoke and was "fat" looking was a fat-five. Now I know better.

BTW I love that 42DD (fits awesome). If my APR exhaust goes at some point or I just want to make a change i'll definitely go 42DD. Love their sound

I'm still drooling over that nasty IE intake manifold!!! Lol I want one so bad, but I'm afraid it would be pointless on my car right now. I'm headed in the right direction anyway. Just slowly. Lol. Again, love this car!!!! So when is the next big show in NC? I'd love to make that road trip. It's a great drive through the mtns from here.

Typically no big shows in NC But BFI's Oktoberfest is this weekend and then there is a show that is being started in November. Hoping for a good turnout for a good cause and to keep it going into the future. Called Dubs for a Cause: http://dubsforacause.com/

If your car is stock-ish (not a big turbo), then yes, that manifold is not for you.

Yea... Me either. And it better not with what's in it. I'll get to your thread soon..

Well, I'm back in Japan after my vacation, not much updating to do, but definitely stay tuned over the winter, there will be a few "changes"....

For now, some temporary parting shots...
