Thread: Torque Converter

    How do I remove the T/C. what I did was circling it to pop out but nothing is happening but it is loosed. Thanks!

    If it's stuck to the motor then you need to remove the starter and pull the 3 bolts from that side.

    If it's stuck to the transmission then you need to pull harder.

    was it leaking between motor and trans? Then your bushing probably spun out and is now jammed up on the converter hub keeping it from coming out of the trans.

    Put some short bolts into the torque converter and use a pry bar against the bellhousing and hook under the head of the bolt and pry it out. You'll have to do this evenly. Dont **** it (easier said than done).
    Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.
