HPA Motorsports: Introducing KW DDC “Dynamic Dampening Control” ECU Coilover Kit

The KW DDC "Dynamic Damping Control" coilover kit with ECU was developed for individual lowering and installation of an electronic damping control system. The scope of delivery contains a KW INOX-line coilover kit with electronically controlled dampers, a high-performance control unit, the car-specific cable set with control switch and a detailed manual for an easy installation. The KW DDC coilover kit has three car specific developed damper settings. By the push of a button, the driver can choose between the Sport (basic) setup, a very sporty and performance-oriented Sport+ setup, and a Comfort mode for uneven/ poor road surfaces. The height adjustment of KW coilover kits also allow an individual lowering within the TÜV-tested adjustment range.

DDC Switch

Allows you to switch between the three damper setups: Comfort, Sport and Sport +. This changes the hue of the DDC switch.



KW DDC ECU W-LAN Module

With the optionally available KW DDC W-LAN module you can control and configure the KW DDC ECU Coilovers via the free-of-charge KW DCC App with your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (Android application being released imminently). The App allows you to program, in easy steps, five personal damper setups that you can also share with your friends via e-mail. With the application, each axle can be adjusted seamlessly between 0% (maximum comfort setting) and 100% (maximum sport+ setting). The communication between your device, the KW DDC control device and the KW DDC W-LAN module works with a secure WiFi connection.

Basic Menu

In the BASIC menu, the KW damper setups "Comfort", "Sport" and “Sport +” can be selected. The DDC button changes the color synchronically.



Advanced Menu

In the ADVANCED menu, the value of the damper strength is indicated in real-time. The infinitely variable damper setting occurs separately in front axle and rear axle in (+/-1%) or (+/-10%)single steps. As soon as the individual set-up is configured within the KW safety regulations, it will be passed to the suspension control unit with the "transmit" button and is saved. With the activation of the feature called "constantly update", the respective changes are transferred within milliseconds to the dampers and the differences are felt immediately.



Personal Menu

In the PERSONAL menu, you can save up to five individual setups for the dampers that can be additionally shared via e-mail.



Settings Menu

In the SETTINGS menu, you can change the look of the application. Choose between different backgrounds and activate the logo.

by the way, how much does the whole kit cost, for the 2006 A3 3.2 quattro, shipped to 01930?

isnt this an aftermarket magnetic ride type setup? or am i confused?
