Thread: Milltek gurgle

  1. 08-17-2012 06:16 PM #1
So i got my new Milltek turboback installed. Sounds awesome, and it also feels like the car has gotten some more torque. My boostgauge also shows an 0.2-3 increase in bar under load (???)

No droning to speak of either, exept with WOT.
Anyway, the exaust sometimes gurgles when decel, and sometimes if i just rev it lightly. It does not happen every time.

This is not something i think of when it comes to smaller engines. It sounds alot like the gurgle i know VR6's like to do.

Why does it gurgle, and is it a bad thing?

Totally normal for the 1.8t to gurgle when it has big, free flowing exhaust pipes

Yup perfectly normal. My 42 draft design 3" TBE does it pretty much every time the second I let off the throttle at just cruising speeds.
    I love it.
