I like to feel important. I'm still here, sort of.

I'm tinkering with my Fox, and need to re-do some of the brake lines and the e-brake cables. I found this thread, which got me thinking..
Who is still around and will find this thread? Important cars and people.. Dean Fox-N-It, Adam, Eric, Banned Wagon, the list goes on.
And that leads me to.. Who has parts that they're storing for me in various places across the country?![]()

I am not a Fox old timer, but I have been on the Tex for quite some time even though my post count is extremely low. I used to be a contributing editor to VW Trends and have owned 24 air and water cooled VW's (and a WRX, and now Chevy truck). So I have been around and have definitely been watching everyone's builds with the greatest of interest. I also find them quite inspirational. Thanks to everyone for sharing their photos and experience with the rest of us!

Old but of little importance...
These are 2 threads bring on nostalgia.
Who's doing what, performance-wise?
Where do you stand (modification wise) and what do you plan?
I thought you were storing an Autobahn Air Scoop for me...

I've been around now for over a decade but only within the last several years here in the Fox forum. I used to frequent the mk2 and mk3 forums more often. Oddly enough my first vw was an 87 Fox wagon, followed by a 1987 QSW and then Mk3 Golf Mk2 Golf and Mk3 TDI and a plethora of other rides.

The wife and I were around before Adam. We have the 89 Coupe in the rafters waiting come out and play someday.
Waterfest trophies in 98 and 99, refused to go in 2000 cause it turned too douchbaggy.
Our 93 sedan is long dead, about a year after we sold it, we heard it got wrapped around a tree.
Really plans for the 89 is to do an old skool build.
15" Fox Motorsport wheels, lowered slightly (most likely cut a coil), home built exhaust (easy as pie to make, you can do it with auto parts store pipes and clamps), late Fox taillights, and some other bits too.

I've been here a while too, but haven't posted much. Lots of folks know and knew more about the ol' fox. I lurked for a while after I bought the wagon. I think I removed the exhaust donut only a few days after learning about the DIY.

7 days but I still lurk in the shadows and still have my ridiculous Fox. I'm going to start working on it again after the last show of the season, Sept. 9th. It has been too long and the other 4 Wheel Drive money hog has been needing attention.
Plan is to get it running and moving under its own power by this time next year.
I remember the old Yahoo Groups. I was a member back then I think.
Now I just had an old timers moment and forgot what this thread was originally about.

I want to meet up with all of you. I have now moved onto the single turbo B5 S4 world, but still have my Fox at the shop waiting for some RWD implant.

I'm still around some.
I kissed the back of a grand cherokee with my wagon last year and it's been sitting since. I still hope to put her back on the road again someday.
