sorry but the crooked logo in the grill is killing me

I picked up a 2012 JSW recently, Auto,Pano and Nav. Just passed 1000 miles today in two tanks of gas, need to go for my third tank soon.
Very nice to drive, but small things like the lack of auto headlights kill me, wish VW could have put a little better content in the cars.
I recently added an auto headlight switch, chrome window switches as well as the mirror one (just looks so much better). I also added clear front marker lights and used a GTI front grill. Waiting for my fog lighst to arrive
Also had tinting done

There is an override that plugs I between the headlight switch and harness that has a light sensor you can run to the dash to give you the function of Auto Headlights. Search the Passat B6 forum and you should find it, can't recal the name of the company that makes it.

Desantii,
Love the mods to the car. I also have a 2012 SW was looking into auto headlights and came across your post. Just to confirm, The switch on the bold-sport site linked above works fine?
I noticed on the bold-sport site it said:
Control Unit and sensor Function
- Automatic ON/OFF headlight (Not support headlight with DRL)
- Adjust sensor Sensitivity
- Coming Home function default 30 sec turn off headlight.
- Tunnel mode
The (Not support headlight with DRL) comment made me think that a VAG-COM is need to disable the DRLs.
Any input would be great.
Thanks

you would have to do quite a few things to take advantage of all of the functionality is on that switch
the DRL does not need to be disabled however when the switch is off your headlights will still be on using the DRL. most people simply disable the DRL

Roger that rootrider, I will cross that bridge when I get there. So what you are saying is.... Having the switch in auto mode and still having DRL's enabled will result in automatic headlights? Do you have this switch installed on your car currently?
