Thread: Newbie needs help with Rims and spacer question

  1. 08-18-2012 12:10 AM #1
Here's the thing. I drive a lot for work in my 2012 CC and I want to get 18's or 19's. I don't want to lower it because of the fact that I drive it for work and all over. Whats the best set up with a stock suspension 18's, 19's, what tire size? Should I get spacers for overall better appeence, since I won't be lowering it? Thanks for the help.

Unless your going with an OEM wheel ( and even then) bigger wheels without lowering the car will look funny.

Ever heard the phrase, suspension before wheels? It is said for a reason. If you are adement about not lowering the car, have yourself a set of 18's with some big comfy sidewalls on it. No sense in ruining the ride quality for no reason

+1...even a drop with springs that won't slam your car but wouldn't cause any problems during your commute to work.

I am in sales and use my car for that purpose daily. I have the eibach pro kit on stock 18's and have no issues whatsoever. Can't tell the diff from stock...at all when it comes to comfort. I do not usually have rear seat passengers, but do carry about 100 lbs of lit. And samples in my trunk. Best $200 you will spend. $.02 worth
