Thread: HELP! Someone keeps stealing my sh*t

  1. 08-18-2012 07:48 AM #1
So Yeah. Unfortunately I live in Baltimore, not by choice, I'm in the military. Anyways, I have street parking and stuff happens to cars on the street everyday. It turns out that people like stealing my VW center caps on my wheels. How can I stop the thugs from doing this?

PS dont live in Baltimore, especially if you like you VDub

This sucks. Sorry to hear about this. If there's one thing I hate more than (just about) anything else, it's thieves. People who take from others without providing a benefit to society. They're a waste of clean air.

    I have a couple answers.
    1. don't run the center caps at all.
    2. Somehow attach an electric current through the body of the car when it's off and locked- enough to send 50000 volts through the body of the dirt bags stealing your s-. (If you do this, please put a video on YouTube. It would be hillarious).
    3. Sit on a roof top with a rifle and pick off the MFer's when they start to mess with your stuff. It would set a precedent about what happens (or what should happen) when people steal from you. (Don't really do this, you'll make a bunch of bleeding hearts butthurt and wind up in trouble).

I think the first one is the best- just don't leave them on when you park- they don't REALLY need to be on there, do they?

And I shall strike down upon thee with great revs and furious acceleration those who attempt to obstruct or delay my overtaking and you will know my engine is turbocharged when I lay my powerband upon thee.”

    Buy a gun
Sit in backseat of your car
Wait for them to try and steal them again
    Shoot them.

The center caps? What a waste of time. So it seems the person is doing it out of boredom or just to piss you off. Aren't they a dime a dozen?

The electric shock is a killer idea but I'm thinking it would piss them off and then they would actually damage the car.

Or a little bit of gorilla glue? Will that damage the wheel? Of course then if ever you had to get them off it'd be a small challenge.

    x2 on just removing them

Damn that is bs. Forget the center caps for now. It sounds like somebody is just trying to piss you off. I'd try scouting the area at night if I were you.

Drill holes in two of the adjacent plastic fingers on the inside of the cap. Do the same on the two fingers on the opposite side. Press it into the wheel and then thread some safety wire through the two holes and twist it up.

Those things are never coming off, and if they do they'll be broken and useless to the thief anyway.

Someone stole the aluminum caps of my OZ's like 3 days after getting the wheels on the car. Don't know how they did because they had the c-clip and a acorn nut in one of the tabs.

I've had hooligans steal the VW sign off my grille a couple of times.

Just take the center caps off yourself.

I do this whenever i'm in a sketch neighborhood.
