I have a 2012 with the OEM carpet liner and the blocks. I think it is a very good sytem. It even has holes for access to the tie downs. For very messy hauls, I use an old blanket or plastic film. The OEM is best for every day stuff, in my opinion.

I am the proud new owner of a CPO 2010 Touareg V6 with the Technology Package. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
What is the best / most popular cargo liner out there? I'm torn between the OEM one (which doesn't look very waterproof) and the WeatherTech one.

I am partial to the Cayenne cargo mat myself even though it doesn't work well with the raised floor in my TDI. It was a carry over from my 04 and has seen many a winter carrying wet ski boots and ski clothing while keepin the carpet underneith dry and clean. It has areas as the other mats do to cut out for the tie downs in the floor. I have never used them for anything since I have not had to secure a load so my mat is unaltered.

Depends on what you are hauling back there, I guess, but the OEM Gorilla Gear has served me well for 7+ years. Crap that soils it can be hosed or vacuumed off. Velcro blocks come in handy sometimes.

My vote goes to the Gorilla mat (and blocks) as well. $100 set available at any VW dealer.

The OEM Gorilla Gear mat is definitely waterproof. I have had one in the last three VW's I've had and they are very durable. I picked mine up along with the two wall mounted storage nets for about $45 from Keffer VW. I also got the blocks with mine (have one other set lying around too) but I've never found a use for them as I just tie down things with the cargo net.
Update- I looked on their website and see that the T2 Touaregs don't have the mat and blocks for $19 like they do for the T1. Those nets are $9.90 though.

I decided to go with the weather tech cargo mat. I liked the OEM one, but its top is lined with carpet. I wanted something I could hose off more easily.
Thanks for all the input!

they get all the dirt, mud and water.
