    I just got a set of e-codes, and it appears they have no vertical adjustment. They have a hole in the same place as these below:

    On the backside, next to the bulb cap. I would assume that's where the vertical reflector adjustment should be?

    They had motorized vertical adjusters, which are removed.
    You need to source the manual adjusters (knobs), check ?818 if someone has US lights for cheap;
    I am almost sure that the adjusters are the same (NA and European headlights).

    i sent you some pictures of the set-up for you to look at. let me know what you decide.
    it is also posible to put manual adjusters int here. i think a recent person here found them in europe new for like 40 or 50 a pop.

    I would prefer manual adjustment, because I retrofitted some projectors and they sit very close to the lense, giving me so little vertical adjustment that leveling motors would be a waste. I also received your pics. PM a price on the leveling motors and harness + rheostat just for sh*ts n giggles.

    P.S. I bought my MK2 in perfect running condition, with all four tires brand new AND a spare 8v motor in the trunk for (almost) that kind of money.

    Haha same with my first MKII! I wish I could find a deal like that again. Thanks for the link. It took some reading but I found the price.

    i have heard that VOLVO 850 headlight adjusters work. I haven't had a chance to go to the yard and look for some though.

    good suggestion. I'll be at the junkyard this weekend pulling some electrical parts... I'll have to see if I can find an 850.

    If it isn't too late to chime in, when I did mine I grabbed a set of adjusters from a Volvo 850 @ the wreckers. Fitment was right on.
