Up for sale is my 1990 single cab ford ranger with only 83k miles on the 4 cylinder motor. Onto the good and the bad.
The Good:
Motor only has 83k miles on it and runs very strong
Many parts were replaced by the PO only 5k miles ago (brakes, water pump, etc.)
Body is in decent shape for its age, only a minor amount of rust on the bed.
Newer perelli tires on 2004 Mustang mag wheels.
Transmission is as smooth as butter, no grinds or pops (newer clutch too)
Newer vinyl bucket seats
Motor pulls strong but also gets 20mpg
The Bad:
Car has no parking brake. PO said it was cut but its there just dangling. I just block the tires when I'm on a slope and keep it in gear.
Car has no AC and the heat is pretty weak.
The wheel feels loose. I checked the tie rods and its not that. I think the steering box needs to be tightened but I just haven't gotten around to it.
The bed has a DIY spray on liner. It started scratching the first day I had it. Never cared as its a pickup.
I bought this truck when I was doing construction but I just got a job doing IT work and I'm traveling quite a bit and want something thats a little more comfortable. Being as its an old truck, its loud, it rattles and shakes, and the lack of AC makes wearing a button up in the summer unbearable.
I'd love to get into a mk2 or anything with a vr in it. I need something I can daily.
If its an out right sale, I'm looking to get about 2500. The rims alone are worth 1200 without tires (from what I've been told). Its a great little truck, I just have no need for it.
