I've got a rust free 84 Rabbit GTI with a low mileage AEB 20v swap, p&p AEB head, running as an AWP on a fully loaded APR ECM
K03s
Remote oil cooler
TT manifold with VR6 flange/TB
MK5 intercooler
Mk3 radiator/fan on custom support/bar
3" DP and full 3" exhaust Magnaflow
Spec2 clutch, pp and flywheel
02j swap with VR gears and a Quaife
mk3 2.0 knuckles w g60 brakes
Mk4 aluminum rear caliper swap
5 lug
New poly
Stitched control arms
Neuspeed rear sway
Eurosport front/rear tie bars and lower front bar.
KW V1 coilovers
Optima gel batt in spare well
Mk4 tilt/tele steering column
Mk4 pedal cluster, TT pedal pads
Mk4 strut tops welded in to use mk4 bush/bearings.
Full mk4 wiring head to tail
Mk4 GLI steering wheel
Mk4 GLI cluster
New bosch fuel pump
Most all sensors and coolant plastics new.
Rounds w German glass crosshairs.
Euro bumpers
Probably a whole lot more I'm missing and most everything has less than 7k, suspension has less than 1k.
The car is sport bike quick, and is pretty much a racecar minus the cage. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere though.
Make offer, trade me a vanagon and cash. Point and laugh...

Engineers do it better.

I have got Vanagons, about 20 of them. I might be interested in a trade. What do you think the Rabbit is worth on the open market?

No clue what it's worth on the open market. I know what I have in it and I have an idea what it's worth parted. Unfortunately, that's probably what will happen to it if I can't find a good vanny to swap for. I'll just part it and stick it in the garage for an awd swap later.
Ideally, I'd like to build a syncro, but... We will see what pops up.
