Can you tell the HID's are not aligned, or are you just trying to do this ahead of time & assuming they're way off?
Ask Ross Tech though

Installed Koni's this weekend on my 2013 CC, and this morning at a local shop using VAGCOM we were unable to find where to level the HIDS inside VCDS.
Tried following these instructions for a MKVI, however the drop down option "Adjustment Position & Adjustment Learning" was not found.
Has anyone been able to find the correct option via VAGCOM to level HIDs after lowering?
These instructions did not work:

From what I've been told they HIDs may point too low after lowering the car. I will have to drive the car at night to verify. Just trying to be proactive and align them ahead of time, considering it takes a few seconds from VCDS if we know where the option is.
Called Ross-Tech, but I am not the licensed owner of the software - the local shop here is. Just wondering if anyone has done this on a 2013 so we know where to look.
Worst case, we will call Ross Tech while I'm at the shop.

OK - after driving around the block in the dark just now, I found no difference as far as alignment - HIDs appear to be exactly where they were before. Also, AFS functions as designed.
snobrdrdan - hope that helps! Feel free to report back after your lower!

Believe it or not, but the US Bi-Xenon headlights DO NOT have autoleveling, thats why there is no "Basic Settings" for that. Autoleveling is not required in US, like it is in Europe, if the car has HIDs.

They actually do or at least my v6 4 motion does. If you look in the rear of the car to the right of the driver side rear wheel you will see what looks like a little shock absorber with two rocker hands on it. That is designed to detect heavy rear weight which tells the xenon leveler to adjust accordingly. I figured this out because when I replaced my rear springs with the eibachs the pin came apart enough to raise that rocker almost an inch which in turn told my headlights to point down because it thought the rear was squatting. Once I fixed that the lights adjusted back to the right height.
Lowering the car won't make the lights adjust because it thinks the car is still sitting at the right height which is what happens when you lower all four corners.

Well I'm asking the OP or anybody else, lol
I haven't driven the car at night yet since being lower, but I started it up the other night and it looks like they're lower than they were or should be

Well it's the rear sensor that's throwing them off, obviously
Working on a fix for it (hopefully)

Took the coilovers off & went with the Eibach springs for winter, and they're still pointed down![]()

I adjusted mine from the white plastic screw type tabs on the headlight housing under the hood. I actually improved the beam over stock and no one has flashed their high beams at me
