Since the Scirocco has moved to the 3rd car slot it's not going to be driven as frequent as it has been so what if anything do you do to prep the car to sit for 2 months at a time with out driving?

It's in the garage, with is a big plus, but squeezed up next to a wall where access isn't all that great and it's off to the side.

Fresh oil...battery tender or disconnect the battery.....mouse traps (remove any snacks/nest building supplies like Kleenex ) and check the air filter before startup ( we have mice out here in the forest... ) and....full gas tank...less room for condensation/rusty gas tank. Oh, Ebrake...maybe leave that off so it doesn't seize up locked up.

    - People who store cars usually 'Fog the Motor' by letting it draw in oil or some better protectorate until the motor stall and closing it off from the atmosphere. Failing that I'd park it and put it on jacks to avoid flat-spotting the tires and give the suspension a rest.

    - Pour a little oil, MMO, or other suitable concoction down each spark plug hole into the Cylinders. Keeps the Rings wet and happy.

    - Disconnect the Battery, tender or not.

    - Don't use Armour All (or anything w/ Silicone in it) but consider laying on something that will 'feed' the vinyl; Hmmm I'm forgetting the name brands at the moment. (aargh, I bought some groovy smelling stuff from New Dimensions once upon a time...).

Two months is really not ALL that long anyway. My bug has been sitting that long and though her battery will draw down, I expect her to be about as I left her. I love summer, park the daily and rotate the herd!
