Did not change anything. Both front and rear doors would unlock, touching the front door handle. Without warning, only the drivers door will unlock. Looked in the convenience section of MFD and door unlock had switched back to manual. Put back to auto, and still no joy. Anyone else experience this? Same on both sides.

I do not have an SEL but the SE has a "reset all back to factory" feature in the menu. Maybe give that a try.

On my 2009 E350, the drivers door stopped working out of nowhere 2 weeks ago. I can open ever other door no problem with the key in my pocket except the drivers door. It is driving me nuts (my girlfriend drives the E350 and uses the key, I use the SmartKey) because when I do drive it, I have to open and close the back door really quick in order to get into the front door. Anyone who watches probably thinks WTF is this dude doing?

Worth a try.... Thought about it too. Thanks. I also had the TMPS light come on, no low pressure tires though. Would not reset. Couple days later it did, Go figure.

With the tire pressure issue, I had the same thing happen my SE with 17's. I put a pound or two extra in each tire, then reset the tire light through the glovebox. I have not had an issue since.

I guess I had a brain fart. Of course I still do not know why anything changed on its own, which I will ask. Funny the settings are under Manual. Kind of backwards. Works again.

Does someone else drive your car? Have you used a different fob? With the SEL (if you have memory seats) the two key fobs can have different programming. So when you set up options with one fob, the other can have different options set.

For example, my mother has my second key, as she's the only one I trust to drive it. But not being used to VW's, or keyless systems she forgets to lock the car before she walks away. So I have her fob only to unlock the drivers door, that way if she forgets, only that door is unlocked. My fob unlocks all doors.

If you used a different fob, that could explain why it changed without you touching the settings.

Good thought. I think I used the spare once to lock.... If it changes thing doing that only, that is it. No one else allowed to drive it. At least not yet.

I am happy as hell with my 2.5 SE, but would love a TDI SEL. What great features. If I get another VW after this one which I probably will, I need to get the SEL. If I hit the lotto or manage to get a huge range then I would take an A7 please and thank you.
