Stolen Mk2 Jetta

Came across this on Craigslist. I guess someone had their Mk2 Jetta stolen. Thought I'd share.

Thats my old car ...with a lot more dents than when i sold it.

Ill keep an eye out. I was actually hoping to find it and buy it back.

Super lame.
But I find it odd he just added the "stolen" part to his for sale ad.
and I don't understand how I can have my car totaled after being hit, yet not have a salvage title. This had the radio stolen and has a rebuilt from salvage title... weird.

The title is rebuilt due to the car being stolen before I bought it, not the radio. The interior was gutted before it was recovered and therefore totaled. The engine is original, but was rebuilt and modded. The speedo just needs the cable plugged back in (pull the drivers side vent, reach through and plug it in). If it was really stolen, that's sad... Hell, the condition the body is in is sad... Hope it's recovered, and would love to see it back in Dallas' hands.

I might be mistaken but I dont think the person who owns it now is the person that bought it from me. I think he sold it sometime last year.

It was up for sale and then stolen, correct? I wonder if he showed the car to some shady characters.
