looking great man. how'd you fill the notch on the bra? i been trying to think of ways to flatten mine and get the leather to look the same. yours is perfect, looks as if it came that way.

I don't mean to jack your thread man, I'm just curious as to how you got it that way. The bra's come with a groove to line up with the notch in the hood. I know your hood is filled, i want to fill the notch on mine as well, so i'd like the bra to be straight like yours. maybe you understand my question now

I'd try to adjust it again loosen both ties under the hood then line the corners up and tighten one end a little so the hook stays in the hole go to the other side then tighten them till you can't

Im gonna post it here and then make a thread for others to see, but

Im looking into where im going to put my gauges for my air setup ive found the typical three , on top of the steering wheel, on the dash which is a 3 pod panel, and in the ash tray, I did a google search found a two gauge holder that goes on the top of the dash to the driver side apillar but is on the dash, but other then those thats all i have found ,

I agree. If you're really concerned, go for a clear bra.

Clear bras look like dick after a few months. I use a bra for longer road trips. Gives me a little piece of mind. I agree they look ugly - I only use it for the drive and don't really care if I'm impressing anyone on the highway.

Skip the gauges all together - v2

It depends. I had a two customers that had them and even after a year, they still looked new. It may depend on the brand and the application process. Also, black cars are never the best judge for clear bras...they look like poop on them.

I also had a customer that had the full GLI bra and his paint rubbed bad. Rubbed through the clear coat. That being said, he never took it off. Maybe once a year for a detail.

Leaving the bra on is just asking for scratches. Mine is taken off ASAP. Just gives a little peace of mind on the highway. I had a rock fly up and put a chip in my windshield on the way to h20 and I drive no where near the person in front of me

Agreed. That's the way it should be done if you care about paint. Sometimes you're screwed no matter what precautions you take. I wish paint chips from rocks were covered by insurance like windshields are.

I've ridden/driven both V2 and Switchspeed in a MkV. I'll say I prefer Switchspeed. V2 did this funky autocorrecting crap that would annoy the hell out of me.

Yeah since v2 has its preset heights it auto corrects the pressure all the time and switch speed from what I've seen will hit a bump the pressure goes down but fills back up after. If that makes any sense

Wrong. V2 has an option to autofill in case you have a leak. The option can be turned off. It's similar to elevels auto correction except pressure based rather than height

Pressure will go "up" when you hit a bump or are taking a turn hard. The bag compresses which changes the pounds per square inch because the area the air is contained in becomes smaller. No actual changes through the manifold/tank takes place (if that makes sense)

Looks awesome as usual. Love the colour. It doesn't even need bags but they will bring it to a whole other level.

I know bryan im most likely gonna get the votex reps im not paying all that money for a plastic part, i was going to use my gti ones but they got messed up and i prefer the straight look of the votex, and thanks Alex, ive gone back and forth about bagging it or spending that money on a turbo but with me going to the police academy once i graduate college id rather have her sit pretty and buy either the mk6 GLI or a dodge cummins with that money, ,

For those who have polished wheels whats some tips to doing it, I aquired a spare wheel that i stripped and now im sanding it , what grit did you start with and end with, Ill be using a buffer on them for spots i can use it on then hand or find a smaller buffer for the "blades"

Start with as high of a grit you can. You don't want to use too low of a grit if you don't have to. It will only make your life miserable trying to sand those scratches out. Don't skip grits. It will only force you to sand double the time trying to get the precious grit's scratches out. Go all the way to 3000 grit.

Why not cover it with a thin layer of filler and sand that smooth?
