White mkvi golf, black wheels south of waldorf?

Driving home from Waldorf last night in my Corrado, got a chance to spend part of the drive with a beautiful white golf, lowered with black wheels, personalized plates "dubbin". Sounded really nice. Anyone familiar with this car and know what his engine setup is? It was clearly faster than my car, which is a 16vt running at 25-26 psi and normally holds its own pretty well... Thx. -Jason
