Little article i read this morning.
Most of it makes sence, and nothing is shocking. But I'm glad they're getting rid of the Liberty.
Although I didn't know that Volvo was so maligned...I rarely saw them though.
Thoughts?

I would rock one of these:

They've done studies you know. 60% of the time... it works every time.

OP, maybe list the cars in your thread, so that we do not have to click through 9 freaking pages for extra ad revenue ?

I can't believe the Mitsubishi Eclipse was still in production.
Jerk It with Luigi.

CX-7 is only discontinued in the U.S. It will continue to be offered elsewhere, including Canada.
R-class isn't quite dead yet, I was surprised to see they are still offering it for '13 but I would guess it's the last year.

That's too bad about the Volvo.
Dynamics and usability be damned, they're very pretty and priced right.
IMO there was room for something in between the exhorbitantly priced Germans and the IS250C.

I had no idea the Lexus was still around. I thought it had been ****canned months ago.
I've seen exactly one. And Seattle is a serious hybrid town.

Pretty much ok with everything on that list.
Thank God the Sedona is done. *Cringe*

Sad re: the Caravan or T&C. That's the biggest news in this article.

The Eclipse is no surprise to me. I was in Mitsubishi Motors NA in Normal, IL back in April and they were only producing about 30,000 Galants a year and that was all of the plant's output. There were brand new Ralliart Eclipses stored under tarps with flat tires, etc that they couldn't get rid of. MMNA just took over production of the Outlander Sport from Japan so they could keep the plant open.

Yah... the Volvo looked great too, one of the best done folding hardtops around in terms of how it actually looked like a decent coupe top up, not hump-backed like the EOS (hence the Volvo's lack of trunk space). My manager had one, he seems to like it. He's an avid golfer and he has room enough for his clubs in it... don't really see the problem with trunk space... it isn't a sedan.
The C70 has never been a strong seller... and hardtop convertibles are expensive to produce.

I hate hitting "next" for each entry of a list just so that dumbass site can get more ad revenue

For all the whiners:
1. Chevrolet Avalanche
2. MB R-Class
3. Dodge Caravan/Chrysler T&C
4. Jeep Liberty
5. Kia Sedona
6. Mazda CX7
7. Mitsu Eclipse
8. Volvo C70
9. Lexus HS 250H
Actually kind of sad to see the Liberty go, the first gen Liberty's still look good and some of them are getting to be 10 years old. A re-styling would have been nice since the latest version looks like ass

Sad to see the Eclipse go but Mitsubishi just doesn't care anymore. The V6 Eclipse can be a beast.

I never have any of them a second look so good riddance.
It's ok if you disagree with me, I can't force you to be right.

The Lexus did have some pretty impressive tech options. I think the CT? Model offered a Lexus hybrid for around 5k less. They should have only introduced one econolux hybrid.

Kia Sedona is a going to be a temporary hiatus. There should be a new one next year as a 2014 model year.
Lexus HS250h was really gone for 2012. Production had ended this past January so 2012 model year is really a technicality.
And as mentioned, only one of the two Chrysler/Dodge is going away.
By the way, where is the Hyundai Veracruz on this list?

Mitsubishi gave up on trying to make the Eclipse sporty after the first generation. It became nothing but a bland chickmobile after that. If you're into the Evo, that's the only excuse Mitsubishi has to live right now. Although I believe the Evo is getting the axe next year too.![]()

I was interested in pricing out the HS and the hatch CT, but when I saw that there was a huge price difference between the two, it became obvious the CT was a much better option. I just know I wouldn't get a dime for my Trailblazer if I were to trade it in.![]()

Am I the only one that found it intersting that the CX-7 was to be axed? I thought its existence was warranted between the other 2. Have sales been that tepid?
