figured a new look, new thread.

      old info here
      http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...attro.../page7

started August of 2008 with this here....

ended up with this here in the spring/summer of 2011

      648whp/508tq 38psi e85

car made 4 passes down the track that fall, went best et of 11.1@133 and best MPH was 11.8@137, on 225 street tires.

      winter of 2011

      Spring 2012

And finally, fall of 2012 and we have a completed, driving car again.

plans for 2012 season are a bit more power, not that its needed but 700 was the goal when the project began...and why ****ing not right?

wider street rubber in hopes that the car can go mid 10's on STREET tires, i believe the current Audi record for that is 10.5's done by the 034 VRT A4. then to kiss the 9's on some slicks, and after that just cruise around the streets and enjoy the car. a front torsen diff to replace the stock open one. new paint, new engine bay scheme, new interior setup/dash and have more fun.

Absolutely beautiful! I love how simplified your engine bay is - must be a pleasure to wrench on. Any more pics of the body - side view maybe - in the Jazz Blue? What's the curb weight?

when i first built the car one of the main things i made sure of was that almost everything was easy to replace, tweak, tighten, loosen, check. theres nothing ****tier then working on a car like this and having to be a contortionist just to yank an alternator or a crank sensor. i will be getting some pics soon with my DSLR instead of just my iphone and ill be sure to post them up in here when i do, thanks for the kind words. car weighed with me in it last year 2880 on the scales at Etown, im about 165 and the car had the 12 gallon fuel cell pretty much full with e85. added some weight this year im sure though with the new exhaust and the different wheel/tire combo.

Car looks awesome, the blue looks way better than the matte black. But your safety wire is loose as hell. As a CDQAR, I would have to snip that and tell you to try again

034 went 10.5x on continental street tires in their vr6t a4, so that's the number that I'm gunning for on true street tires.

**** yo! No worries I wouldntve gone anyway, we are still taking street logs and upping the boost little by little til we can get back to where it was last year, or until it just gets to ridiculous for the street, before I take it to the track.
